KUNZITE

LOVING CALMING RADIANT
COLOR: Violet and Pink
CHAKRA: Heart
SCARCITY: Semi-Precious
RESPONSIBLY MINED IN: California
MINERALOGY: Kunzite is the pink to lilac variety of the mineral spodumene, a lithium aluminum inosilicate with the chemical formula LiAlSi₂O₆. It forms in prismatic crystals with a monoclinic structure and is known for its strong pleochroism, meaning it can appear different colors—typically pink, violet, or colorless—when viewed from different angles. The delicate pink color is due to trace amounts of manganese, and the stone can fade with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Kunzite is typically found in lithium-rich pegmatites and is often associated with other minerals like lepidolite, tourmaline, and quartz. It has a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7, making it suitable for jewelry, though it requires careful handling due to its perfect cleavage and sensitivity to light.
HOW TO USE: Meditate with Kunzite by placing it over the heart or holding it in your hand to calm anxiety, release emotional blockages, and open the heart chakra.

It's believed to open the heart chakra, fostering self-love and harmonious relationships. Kunzite is also thought to help heal heartache, calm nerves, and promote a sense of peace and tranquility
