MINERALOGY: Aquamarine is the blue to blue-green variety of the mineral beryl, a beryllium aluminum cyclosilicate with the chemical formula Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈. Its color is caused by trace amounts of iron, and its name comes from the Latin aqua marina, meaning "sea water." Aquamarine forms in hexagonal crystals and has a Mohs hardness of 7.5 to 8, making it a durable gemstone for both jewelry and metaphysical use. It is typically found in granite pegmatites and is often associated with minerals like quartz, feldspar, and mica.
HOW TO USE: Hold Aquamarine during meditation or wear it as a pendant near the throat to promote honest expression and reduce anxiety. Use it during breathwork or emotional release exercises for added calming energy.
HEALING PROPERTIES: Aquamarine is known for its gentle, flowing energy that brings peace and emotional clarity. It’s said to support clear communication, reduce fear, and calm an overactive mind. Often associated with the ocean, Aquamarine is believed to wash away emotional toxicity, promote inner strength, and aid in speaking one's truth with grace.
AREAS OF PLACEMENT: Place Aquamarine in your bathroom, on your altar, or near your bed to enhance tranquility and emotional cleansing. It's especially powerful in spaces where honest communication or emotional healing is needed.
