MINERALOGY: Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz found in a Trigonal crystal system. The name comes from the Koine Greek, where the ancient Greek believed that it protected its owner from drunkenness. They carved drinking vessels from it in the belief that it would prevent intoxication.
HOW TO USE: Promote a peaceful office space by placing on a desk or near the phone. Place a stone near your bed to promote a better night sleep and soothing dreams.
